As stated in previous posts, here at P2P Analytics there is a new index in the works. The new index seeks to keep track of In Funding notes, and details regarding these notes, in real time. Here is a short list of some of the things that will be tracked in the future as this index is developed:
#1. How large of a pool of notes currently stands in funding. How is this funding sorted by grade or other investor preference?
#2 How much funding currently stands invested in these notes? How is this funding sorted by grade or other investor preference?
#3 How much demand is there for particular types of notes? How rapidly is funding flowing into certain kinds of notes?
#4 What note types can be designated as “at risk” in terms of investor availability?
To answer these questions, P2P Analytics is now hosting a 24/7 server which will download, in real time once an hour, the In Funding note information from LendingClub. This new server is a dedicated unit solely for this purpose based on the Raspberry Pi hardware found here. Below are the results of the first test run of this new system.
This data was collected on September 28th from 5 pm to 10 pm Pacific Time from LendingClub’s investing platform. Note: The algorithm does not simply download InFundingStats.csv (which is updated relatively infrequently). This algorithm works on real time information as presented to investors on the investment section of the Lending Club platform.
More details to come.
